Portuguese photographer Andre Vicente captured a stunning series of photographs showcasing the "windows of the world." This collection transforms diverse and vibrant exteriors—complete with colorful facades, window sills, shutters, and unique shapes—into one-of-a-kind "paintings." In the end, even the photographer was left in awe by the way these windows came together, reminding us that art is all around us, right at our doorstep—or rather, perched gracefully on the windowsill.
Venice
As you stroll through the streets of Venice, don’t forget to look up at the windows above you. These windows are either gracefully arched in the Baroque style or elegantly columned in the ancient Roman tradition. Yet many of them defy easy classification—could they be Gothic, Byzantine, Renaissance, or perhaps Baroque? Sharp or rounded, solitary or paired, some feature decorative columns for separation while others stand entirely unadorned.
