1. When cleaning break-bridge aluminum doors and windows, as well as aluminum-clad wood doors and windows—including the glass, frames, and sashes—use a soft cloth dampened with clean water or a neutral detergent. Avoid using ordinary soap or laundry powder, and never opt for harsh acidic or alkaline cleaners like scouring powders or toilet bowl cleaners, as these can corrode the surface of the profiles. This ensures that the glass and frame components remain scratch-free.
2. Every three months, clean the grooves at the window sash joints and the sliding rail areas to prevent dust, sand, and other debris from interfering with the proper functioning of the hardware. Use a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner for this task. After rainy weather, promptly wipe dry any moisture on the glass and window/door frames.
3. When cleaning aluminum and wood doors and windows, avoid stepping on the aluminum-clad wooden frame or using the frame for support. Doing so could easily damage the aluminum-clad wood doors and windows—or even lead to an accidental injury to yourself.
4. Every three months, inspect the hardware components at the corner joints of broken-bridge aluminum doors and windows, as well as aluminum-clad wood door and window frames. Tighten any loose bolts promptly and replace any damaged parts immediately. Regularly check the vulnerable areas—such as positioning pins, wind braces, and hinges—on aluminum-clad wood doors and windows, and lubricate them periodically to ensure they remain clean and operate smoothly. Additionally, the sealing rubber strips and glass sealant are critical for maintaining the airtightness and thermal insulation of aluminum-clad wood doors and windows; if they become detached, repair or replace them without delay.
5. If the aluminum-clad wood door and window hardware becomes rusty due to oxidation, gently scrape off the aluminum rust with a small knife, then clean it thoroughly with soapy water. Wipe dry with a clean cloth, apply wax oil, and finally buff it shiny with another dry cloth—this will restore the surface to its smooth, like-new condition. Additionally, every six months, lubricate the moving, sliding, and locking parts of the hardware by applying a few drops of specialized lubricating oil. After adding the oil, open and close the hardware 3 to 5 times to ensure the lubrication penetrates fully, enhancing both the flexibility of the moving mechanisms and extending the hardware's overall lifespan.
6. When using aluminum-clad wood doors and windows, handle them gently and allow smooth, natural movement when sliding or opening/closing. If you encounter any difficulties, avoid forcing the mechanism—instead, first identify and resolve the underlying issue. Accumulated dust and minor warping are the main reasons for sliding problems in aluminum-clad wood doors and windows. To maintain optimal performance, keep the door frame—and especially the sliding tracks—clean at all times. You can use a vacuum cleaner to carefully remove dust from both the tracks and the door seal strips.
