How to Clean Blinds

Cleaning blinds can be a hassle when you have to take them down. Here’s a simple cleaning method that lets you keep them in place while still achieving a spotless result. Here are the steps:
1. First, put on rubber gloves, then wear cotton yarn gloves over them. Next, dip your hands into a diluted household cleaning solution, and finally wring out both hands thoroughly.
2. Insert your fingers into the fully open louver blades, firmly clamp them in place, and then slide vigorously—this simple motion will effortlessly remove dirt from the blades.
3. If cotton-gauze gloves get dirty, you can wash them just like your hands—simply dip both hands into a cleaning solution and rub vigorously to clean the gloves thoroughly.
Choosing the right cleaning agent
Blinds are typically made from aluminum-coated panels. Use a cleaning agent that won’t damage the aluminum or its coating.
Neutral or alkaline cleaning agents are suitable.
Removal of Residual Cleaning Agents
Due to their intended purpose, blinds are highly susceptible to direct sunlight exposure. Residual cleaning agents can lead to contamination, so they must be thoroughly and completely removed.
Precautions to take when drying
When the louver blades are closed, they cannot dry completely. Both the inner and outer surfaces of the blades are coated; if not dried properly, this could lead to flaky peeling.
Leaf surfaces should be dried thoroughly after removing any water droplets. Otherwise, circular stains may appear.
Operating Precautions
The louver blades are becoming increasingly thin (0.22–0.15 mm). Therefore, be careful not to break them. Also, handle the stopper on the pull cord with extra care.
Cutting injuries to workers' fingers from blades happen frequently—gloves are a must!
Waste Liquid Treatment
The treatment of washing wastewater must be carefully considered.
Regular maintenance
Generally, dust off once every six months, and perform a thorough cleaning once a year.
