Doors and windows serve as the connection between rooms and the outside world, making their installation quality particularly crucial. The acceptance process for doors and windows primarily involves visual inspection, frame examination, lock-checking, and functionality testing of opening mechanisms.
  I. Door and Window Panel Inspection
The quality of the surface finish on doors and windows directly affects the overall decorative effect of the wall after installation. The visual inspection of doors and windows includes checking for cracks, signs of deformation, and verifying the proper installation of window seals. Here are the specific steps for conducting the inspection:
  1. Exterior Inspection of Doors and Windows
Look from a distance at the glossiness of the doors and windows, checking whether the surface shows any noticeable color unevenness. Then, use a ruler to measure the dimensions and inspect for any signs of warping or deformation. Finally, examine closely—and even run your hand over—the surface to feel for any sharp, jagged scratches.
  2. Inspection of Door and Window Seals
The sealing strip should make smooth, even contact with both the glass and the glass channel, without any curling or detachment. Additionally, the pressure strip equipped with the sealing material must be fully pressed against the glass, and there should be no noticeable gaps at the joints between the pressure strip and the profile—any joint gaps should be no larger than 1 mm.

II. Inspection of Door and Window Frames
The quality of door and window frame installation directly affects the structural integrity of the doors and windows. To inspect the frames, check for stability, evenness, and how tightly they seal against each other.
  1. Border Verticality and Flatness Inspection
Use a vertical measuring ruler to check the verticality of door and window frames. Typically, the allowable deviation for the verticality of the front and side surfaces is 2.5 mm, while the horizontal deviation for the top frame is limited to 2 mm. Additionally, the elevation deviation of the top frame should not exceed 5 mm, and the vertical offset from the centerline of the frame is permitted up to 5 mm.
  2. Inspection of Tightness at Wall Connections
Check whether the joints between the door and window frames and the wall are tight. The edges of the door and window frames can be inspected using a combination of a reflector and an extendable tube.
  3. Check door and window locks
Door and window locks are crucial to your home's security. When inspecting these locks, make sure they’re securely installed and that the keys turn smoothly without any resistance.
  1. Inspection of Door and Window Lock Installation
First, check whether the installation position of the door and window locks is correct and ensure they aren’t installed backward. Next, verify that the locks are aligned properly on both sides—making sure there’s no misalignment. Finally, gently shake the door and window locks by hand to see if they feel loose or unstable.
  2. Inspection of Door and Window Locks
Check the flexibility of the door lock mechanism to ensure smooth locking and unlocking actions; then inspect the windows—close the window locks and manually push the window to verify whether it can be securely locked in place without moving.

  4. Inspection of Door and Window Usage
We're down to the final step: checking the operation of doors and windows, including whether they open and close smoothly, and verifying if there’s any unusual shaking after they’re securely locked.
Carefully shake the doors and windows back and forth by hand to check whether they operate smoothly. Pay attention to any unusual resistance or noises during the shaking process. Next, experiment with varying levels of pressure when opening the windows to ensure the hardware can handle different forces without issue. Finally, close the doors and windows and verify that the sashes align precisely with the frames—ideally, the gap between the sash and frame should not exceed 2 mm.
