Nowadays, casement windows with both inward-opening and tilt-and-turn capabilities are widely used in homes. In addition to tilting downward, they can also open inward horizontally—what we commonly refer to as inward-opening, tilt-and-turn windows.
Window Type Introduction
An inward-opening, tilt-and-turn window operates by turning the handle on the window sash, which in turn moves the hardware mechanism connected to it. This allows the sash to either swing open inward or tilt inward at a specific angle for ventilation and air exchange. By rotating the window handle, you activate an internal linkage system that positions the window in one of three key configurations: locked (handle pointing vertically downward), fully open (handle horizontal), or tilted inward (handle pointing vertically upward).

Some homeowners live on high floors, and during the windy spring and autumn seasons, traditional outward-opening windows can let in too much gusty air. In contrast, the inward-swinging position allows for gentle, smooth airflow without creating a harsh, blowing sensation.
